Baby Beckham or Bambi…what’s the greater risk?

The rights and wrongs of parents providing powerful cars for their children has been in the news after David Beckham’s 17 year old son received a 140 mph Mercedes on passing his driving test. There is also speculation that the insurance is costing £30,000!
The risk of young drivers is well known, but in North America it seems that the swift footed deer is their most dangerous animal. In the US alone, they cause 1.2m road accidents a year resulting in around 200 human deaths. Their population has surged in recent years as their natural predators have declined and experts are now asking for cougars to be reintroduced to help keep numbers under control. That may give baby Beckham an idea for his second car!
