Following a very public spate, The Rolling Stones have now settled their court battle with the insurers of their postponed tour to Australia and New Zealand following the suicide of Mick Jagger’s girlfriend, L’Wren Scott. The insurers provided event cancellation cover arising from the death of the groups family, including Scott and faced a £7.9m claim, but initially declined to pay because of failure to disclose Scott’s mental health history and her suicide was not unforeseen. It is assumed that a compromise settlement was reached, but the Stones were upset that sensitive personal medical information about a number of the band members became public.
